Historical Harp Society Publications

 

   We publish a quarterly newsletter, the Bulletin, and an annual Journal, which reports on research in our field.  We also have begun to create editions of historical music for the harp.

    In 2005 we decided to have two periodicals, the Bulletin and the Journal, and a separate Journal has been in preparation for a year.  But all previous material has been together in one periodical, under various names.  Use our index to sort it out and find what you are seeking.

Historical Harp Society Bulletin

The HHS Bulletin serves a quarterly newsletter for the society.  It includes articles, a Resource Page for Sheet Music Publications, events, projects and members' news and the "Ask the Expert" column.

For submissions, please submit your material digitally, with a statement of permission to print to the editor:  Cheryl Pfeil von der Heyde, cpfeil@nomadharp.com.  Please also direct any questions to the editor.



Historical Harp Society Journal

The HHS Journal publishes scholarly articles.  This content was included in the HHS Bulletin and its predecessors up until fall of 2006.  In the fall of 2006, a separate journal was launched for scholarly work.

Abridged submission guidelines:
·    Articles must feature original primary research and include a literature review, following the accepted standards in the field involved. 
·    Articles will be reviewed by the editor and may be reviewed by other outside experts at the discretion of the editor.
·    Articles should include diagrams, photos, or other attachments as necessary to illustrate the points made.  The author of the article must procure permission to reprint any copyrighted material and must submit copies of that written permission to the HHS Journal Editor.
·    Materials should be submitted digitally to the editor, with a statement of permission to print: Egberto Bermudez, demusica@gmail.com  Please also direct any questions to the editor.
